Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely good ammo! Does what I expect it to do. Deer do not go very far if at all. To those who have had FTF. Will bet you a case of ammo that it is your gun and not the ammo. I have worked on more than a few that has this problem. The bolt sleeve is not relieved enough for clearance of the firing pin. If the ammo head where the extractor slips over is a thousandth or two thicker it will not allow the bolt to pop up and let the firing pin go by and strike the primer with enough force to fire. Try this - hold your bolt down while firing and see if the round that does work in your gun will go off. IN A SAFE DIRECTION OF COURSE. Hope this helps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Accuracy I recently purchased a ruger American predator with a suppressor for hunting. I decided to use this ammo based off past experience and I had always been pleased with the results. This time however, I can say I wasn't excited with the results. After firing 40 rounds, this is the results. I can normally zero a rifle in at 100 yards within 9 rounds. I actually had to move the target to 50 yards in order to get a decent grouping, then pushed out to 100 for the actual zero. There were no baffle strikes, and my other ammo was dead on with a grouping of less than an inch. The picture above are the results of an attempted zero at 100 yards. Maybe I got a couple of bad boxes. I have purchased more to test.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super accurate with great Elk knock down power I’m using a Browning A-bolt II chambered in 300 Win Mag. I chose the Winchester Power Point 180 gr due to its superb accuracy in this rifle. It shoots dime size 3 shot patterns at 100 yards. I have taken countless Elk and Mule Deer with this round and it’s never let me down! It’s bullet performance has proved to be a one shot one kill round on elk... I highly recommend this ammo and one of the big reasons I chose this round was it’s accuracy! It beat out other brands hands down as I believe if your shooting long ranges like we do here in Colorado you want the most accurate bullet possible and this was it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Subsonic Hunting Option for the 308 Finally someone has a reasonably priced expanding subsonic 308 hunting load. Thank you Winchester! This ammo shoots accurately in my Ruger 77 Scout Rifle. With my suppressor, it is extremely quiet. My hunting buddy has killed several deer and hogs with this load and it did the job with obvious expansion and complete penetration. With the big change in velocity, point of impact is 10" lower at 100 yards than the typical 150gr full power hunting load. My solution was to set up one rifle exclusively for the Subsonics and one for supersonics. Looking forward to trying it out myself on game this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable accuracy and performance on Deer I own four .270 Winchester rifles, three bolt guns and one semi-auto. The bolt gun with a "XX" air gauged Douglas barrel will routinely hold .6 MOA with this stuff, and the other three at 1 MOA or less. None of the many Deer, I have killed, ever required a second shot, nor took a single step, and went down immediately. My expertise stems from my time as a Delta Force Sniper, Sniper ATL, Sniper TL, and Unit Sniper SME. I have literally experimented with or fired every type of ammunition at one time or another, and nothing is more effective than your Power-Points.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! Took my Model 70 Featherweight 257 Roberts, out hunting last year. The ammo I was using was 30 years old. One shot one deer. Round went off as if it was new and bullet performed as designed. Bullet was resting just under the skin on the other side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Performance This is the best balanced bullet I've ever used! Great expansion and full penetration. I shot a 217 lb buck slightly quartering away behind the front shoulder. it went all the way through the opposite shoulder on the other side. The exit wound was the size of a quarter. Deer dropped in his tracks. This is my go to hunting ammunition for deer and pigs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 300wsm are garbage my brother and i both have browning x bolts, have been shooting mine for years and his is brand new. he was having issues closing his bolt and gave me a call saying whats up with this. he brought his rifle and box of super x over to my house. i thought no way a brand new browning bolt wont close. i had a box of super x left from last year and tried one of my rounds in his rifle. closes no problem. started to compare rounds and his box the projectile hadn't been fully seated. the projectile sat up .075". many in his box were the same. DO NOT BUY till they figure their stuff out. no QC at all. so my brother took his brand new rifle and box of shells back to the dealer, he had the same issue with 3 other boxes on their shelf all with different production dates. I'm sure the shop knows how to read that. the Federals gave no problems
