Additional Information
The Traditions Buckstalker is a value-packed muzzleloader offering a lightweight, feature-packed rifle at a great price! This compact and maneuverable firearm combines many of the best features from Traditions in one rifle. Its 24" barrel makes it perfect for any situation, from shots in the dense brush to long shots across draws or fields. Equipped with the Accelerator Breech Plug which removes in three turns by hand and requires no tools. The one-piece stainless steel breech plug allows you to fire both loose and pelletized powder.

Safety is a priority, so Traditions incorporated a Dual Safety System into the Buckstalker with a rebounding hammer and trigger block. Speed Load System for easy loading and more consistent groups. This gun also comes with the new Quick-T Ramrod Handle which functions like a palm save and t-handle all in one, making it easier and more comfortable to load your rifle. The handle has a t-shaped piece with brass jag that can screw in to function like a work or cleaning rod. Constructed with a solid aluminum ramrod. The Buckstalker features LT-1 alloy frame, fast action release button, sling swivel studs, and is already drilled and tapped for a scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 1st ML. A strong and simple muzzleloader just right for learning the craft without breaking the bank. But, as capable as any to do anything any .50 caliber can do. Black synthetic stock is not as romantic as fine walnut but I'm confident in bad weather I'm not risking a piece of fine furniture. Love the screw breach and use of 209 primers. It's just plain solid and fun. Amazingly light and nimble compared to my bolt action. A 1-4x or 2-7x scope and you're ready for the hunt. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good beginner gun I bought this gun a few months before muzzloader deer season. Mounted a scope on it and went to sight it in. Didn’t take long to get it sighted in and it was easy to load and shoot with no problems. I had to use the hammer extension that came with it after mounting the scope because the scope was right in the way. First time owning and shooting a muzzleloader but for the price it’s a good gun and plan to have it for awhile and pass it down as I upgrade in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome right out of the box. Birthday gift from my wife 8 years ago. One of the lightest and accurate muzzle loaders I’ve seen. Distance was a concern initially with the shorter barrel but quickly dismissed. Extremely accurate out to 350 yards. The shorter barrel also makes it a joy pack around all day on your shoulder or in a pack. Cleanup is a breeze, another plus for me. I like it so much I bought a second one just to have on hand. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deer Rifle This rifle is the base line of traditions rifle line but I found this rifle to be one of the most accurate firearms that I have ever shot I am using 90 grains of triple 7 with a 250 grain sst 1/2"groups @ 100 yds all day long that's what working in my rifle no two rifles are the same you need to get to the range and see what your rifle prefers traditions make some very accurate and dependable muzzle loaders!! excellent investment cannot go wrong .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding quality! I purchased a Pursuit Buckstalker anfyer hunting for years with a Hawken rifle. The quality of the pursuit and the outstanding price, made it a very simple transition to an in-line muzzleloader. I have taken several deer over the past few years with the Buckstalker and will continue to purchase Traditions products. I will continue to recommend Traditions to all of my hunting friends. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun & Accurate I’ve had my Buckstalker since 2016 and have used it for just deer hunting. The features on this gun seem like they should be no brainer additions for all muzzleloaders. I didn’t realize how much of a factor the breach plug, cross lock safety (I think that’s what it’s called), and recoil pad. I know a couple friends with other guns from other companies. Their models all have one feature that’s inferior to the Buckstalker. The gun is comparable to a 20 ga target load. This is exactly what I was looking for as an entry level muzzle loader. In addition I want to point out that Traditions customer service has been outstanding with some issues. One was operator error and the other was switching to blackhorn 209 (85 grains). I would buy it again if given the option. Trying to find a range longer than 100 yards is a challenge! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great firearm I bought this muzzleloader in July because I was looking into hunting mule deer in Idaho for the first time. Very simple to use and operate, extremely accurate. I ended up going on an early season mule deer doe hunt with it and slammed a nice size doe at 78 yards with it. I was using a 275 grain lead conical with a 100 grains of powder behind it. She didn't even move after she was hit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, easy to load, deadly accurate We have several of these awesome rifles in our hunting arsenal. If you’re interested in hunting with a black powder rifle this is definitely the rifle for you! It’s easy to use with the breakdown option, it’s lighter than most other black powder rifles, and definitely easier to maintain. The accuracy of this firearm is perfect!
