Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked in Half !!! Was wondering why my trailer was making excessive rattling sounds. Then noticed that my spare tire was loose. Thought that the tire carriers mounting bolts had simply loosened up. SURPRISE!! Only had it for three seasons.

Hi, What type of locking mechanism works on this trailer tire mount?

Asked by: rsly
You can use a spare tire lug not lock like item 24555. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Master-Lock-Spare-Trailer-Tire-Lug-Nut-Lock&i=24555

Will this work with a six lug wheel?

Asked by: River Rat
No. The stud spacing was designed for common 4 and 5 lug rims only.
