Tame your big motor
Mounted on a Merc 200, performed great. Slowed me down to just over 1 mph and up as I needed allowing engine to run 1200 RPM's or slower. To retract the blade is easy, just pull rope and put engine in forward gear, prop wash will push blade up, release rope and you're locked in up position.... Easy.

Just OK
Doesn't release smoothly you have to lift engine out of water and manually pull it out of active use, could be a big problem for some people.

what will happen if i u use a large one on a 40hp will it work?
Hello Mark, I do not know what will happen to your performance with The Happy Troller on a 40 horsepower. I cannot recommend this item since your engine is a smaller horsepower than the manufacturer specifies. Thank you, Steve

does the happy troller work with a sting ray hydrofoil stabilizers
I also have a stingray hydrofoil stabilizer and I've read elsewhere that the happy troller acts as a stabilizer in the up position, so you wouldn't need the sting ray hydrofoil stabilizer. Now it would be nice if the holes line up the same!
