Additional Information
Manufactured for TenPoint by Stoney Point Products, Inc., the SteddyEddy telescoping two-section monopod ensures motion-free shooting while seated in a treestand or ground blind, or while standing with the shooting stick supported against the midsection of your body. Made of hard-tempered alloy aluminum, its patented Posi-Lock System allows you to quickly set its length with a quick turn of the extension pole. It attaches directly to your crossbow using a completely maneuverable ball-joint mount or with the new Ball Stem Mounting Bracket and ball-joint (HCA-039). It clamps conveniently under your stock when not in use. All SteddyEddys come standard with a cushioned hand-grip, an all-terrain carbide tip that grips rock and ice, and a removable rubber support ball that grips solid surfaces and cushions the system when supported against your body.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steddy Eddy Monopod Light weight and very functional. Would prefer a latch type lock on the extending tube over the twist type lock. In cold weather or wet conditions its hard to use with cold fingers. Measuring increments on the tube would speed up the fitting - once you get your measurement it would be easier to find it every time you're out in the tree stand. Overall its a great help for stability and accuracy in aiming when shooting off hand. Clips to secure it to the butt stock need modification for a secure and quiet fit. I ended up tying it with elastic to keep it secure and quiet against the stock. Minor glitches for a great innovative and reliable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SteddyEddy: The ultimate monopod Simply the best accessory to improve accuracy whether you’re hunting from a tree stand, ground blind or just setting on the ground. When it becomes critical that movement has to be minimized when at the ready with a deer in close proximity, the SteddyEddy allows you to relax somewhat while still holding extremely still. Fantastic portability as it folds up and snaps in, locking it in place along the base of your crossbow. No need to carry a shooting stick. It’s been the perfect addition to my Stealth SS. I could not be happier with the performance of this TenPoint product and I absolutely love hunting with my TenPoint!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Add-on! The SteddyEddy monopod is a great add-on to your TenPoint crossbow. This device allows for quick, and fairly quiet, shot stability without having to carry and situate an external mono-, bi-, or tri-pod. I would give the SteddyEddy a five-star rating if the rubber ball on the end of the mono-pod did not have a hole all the way through it. When resting on the base of a tree stand with expanded metal floor, the ball works its way up, leaving part of the metal stem protruding where it can clank against the metal tree stand floor. A dab of silicon to fill this hole will help eliminate this problem. Overall, the SteddyEddy is a great product for those who don't want another, external device to keep up with in the field.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Monopod System - SteddyEddy Love the idea and the concept. It truly does steady my shooting. I have a serious problem with them constantly disconnecting from my Crossbow. There really needs to be a better way to connect and stay on the Crossbow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good choice I have been using a trigger stick for hunting applications and wanted something that was more in tune with my Ten Point crossbow. I thought this would be the ticket but it has several drawbacks which I didn't realize until I mounted it. When attached and in the carry position you can't grip the crossbow properly for an offhand shot. When you try and carry the CB with a sling the Steddy Eddy sticks in your back. The monopod is had to adjust as it rotates on the mount making it hard to lock and unlock without using two hands. It is too short for a standing shot so it is only good for seated position or lower. I guess I was expecting too much from someone who made the crossbow to make a monopod that would actually work well. Apparently some people think it is wonderful but it certainly doesn't work for me. And I have yet to figure out how to use the Quick Detachment Connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from allowed me to bow hunt again I had shoulder surgery and was not able to use my compound bow any longer. I purchased a stealth fx4 acudraw and although I had no problem cocking and loading my crossbow I could not hold it steady. I contacted TenPoint for any suggestions and was told about the Steddyteddy monopod. It is easy to install and use; no problem hitting the targets now and looking forward to bowhunting again. Thanks TenPoint

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a "MUST HAVE". The Steady Eddie is a must have for crossbows. It totally stabilizes your hold whether your sitting on the ground, in a blind, or standing. With the weight of a crossbow being forward, this eliminates all stress of holding the bow both level and steady.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SteddyEddy is a spectacular addition! I've been hunting whitetail deer with my TenPoint for 10 seasons. I have literally shots hundreds of deer with it as part of deer population control efforts. This year I had shoulder surgery at the start of archery season. A friend suggested the SteddyEddy and it was a great addition to my crossbow. I used it in ground blinds, and from platforms and tree stands that lacked a shooting bar. The SteddyEddy added stability while greatly reducing the weight I had to hold during my recovery. I may have bought it for post-surgery hunting but won't be without it again.

What is the total lenght the steddy eddy extends out to? Can a sling stillbe attached after this is mounted?

Asked by: Chris
Yes a sling can be mounted on your crossbow (tenpoint). I use my steddy eddy on my hip but have extended it to reach the ground for my grandson.
