Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Buoy bad, very bad label The labels are flimsy and easily distorted. The instructions direct you apply a thin soap film to both the label and the bouy to allow you to slide the label around. This works fine until it comes time to apply the orange banding. Once the banding touches the label it adheres. If you try to remove or reset the band the label lifts or tears making it very difficult to get a neat looking job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great buoy...Horrible label instructions We use these buoys to mark no wake zones in front of our waterfront community. They work very well, float upright and are very durable. The instructions to attach the labels are a disaster. None of the measurements on the instruction sheet match what's existing on the buoy and the orange tape is impossible to get on right. You're on your own with the label!

What kind of chain do I use to keep it from moving in the water? Or to keep it in one place. Do I use a cement weight? It does float with the stuff that is in the bouy? Any help will help me. Thanks, Diana

If you are permanently installing these marker buoys you could use a solid concrete block or another heavy object to hold them down. For example, you can fill a 5 gallon bucket with concrete and then partially embed a chain in the concrete so you have something to attach to. Then you would use a cable or rope to tether the buoy to the concrete block.
