Additional Information
Sur-Moor hard skin mooring buoys have a seamless and tough, one-piece polyethylene shell. Hard skin shells feature ultraviolet light absorbers for long-term life under the sun, and have a sandblasted finish which allows the buoy to be easily painted for identifying. Filled with closed cell foam to positively displace water. Tube-Through-The-Center design with blue reflective striping. Hardware not included.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unsuitable for rough conditions The design is poor. Despite also buying the upper collar the chain is free to saw through the lower part of the buoy. After one season the buoy was ruined. The next year, I tried putting a shackle through the mooring chain below the buoy but there was still to much movement. The upper shackle also sits at an awkward angle against the upper collar and also wears into it. The company needs to come up with a strong bar that rurs through the buoy that is sealed in place and allows a shackle to be attached below and mooring lines/chains above. In other words use the design of the Traditional Sur-moor buoy but make it stronger. That would be perfect.
