Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great casual shotgun This is a great gun for a casual shooter/hunter. The gun is solid and well built. Shoots very well. I took it out the day after I bought it and ran 50 rounds through it at clays. The included instructions were fairly sparse. The included chokes are a Improved Cylinder (IIII) choke in the bottom barrel and a Modified (III) in the top. This is because the bottom barrel shoots first so the target in clays is closer on the first shot. Make sure to open the action all the way because that motion charges the first hammer. The energy from the first barrel charges the hammer for the second. Safety automatically engages when you open the action. Action was stiff at first, but after a good cleaning and a few rounds it loosened up nicely. Highly recommended

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what pay for Picked up the stoeger as my first o/u, shot about 20 rounds through it and noticed the receiver moving in the stock when I close barrels. There are two cracks on the left side of the stock above the trigger where the wood meets the receiver. Now its time to take another trip to the store:( Hoping it is covered under warranty. Other than that I really like the gun. My buddies got one with 100 rounds and no probs. I would still buy another, not afraid to scratch it up hunting!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Safety Operation The safety is automatically engaged when the barrel is closed and must be disengaged to fire. This was not explained to me by the salesman and has not appeared in other reviews. This is annoying so someone like me who only shoots at ranges; i.e., the safety is not used. Also, although I've only fired 100 shells so far, sometimes the safety engages after the first shell is fired, meaning it's terribly annoying and difficult to recover to turn off the safety and shoot the second sporting clays bird. I'm hoping this is an operation that will stop after the gun is broken in better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flawed I am disappointed in this firearm. The stock falls off regularly because of a poor latching mechanism. I may be able to have it adjusted. There is a lot of friction at the break, and I have been breaking this in for months. I have tried oil and working the action after going shooting. The safety is not smooth. Low price is nice, but not when the gun falls apart in the field and it is hard to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Shotgun, Outstanding Customer Service I have been a dedicated Stoeger shooter since 2011. My main use for the Condor is trap shooting, and I have posted some awesome scores in registered ATA events while using it! In fact, I enjoy my Condor so much that I purchased The Grand (Stoeger also) for shooting nothing but handicap trap! Both the Condor and The Grand perform perfectly. Due to the high volume of rounds that I put through my Condor, I send it back to the manufacturer for inspection almost yearly, and so far it has passed with flying colors. I cannot ask for a better Customer Service team than the folks at Stoeger. The auto-safety feature is great. Once closed, it is automatically engaged. This does NOT release the shooter from responsibility in making certain they observe good gun safety habits (in the field or on the range, ALWAYS safety on!). The construction is great. Like any new item, a certain amount of stiffness may be experienced but with use and proper maintenance it will 'loosen up'. The wood for the stock is very pretty, too. While the barrel and receiver may not have all of the fancy engraving, I have never known a shotgun to perform better just because it has an elaborate engraving or a gold trigger. I would HIGHLY recommend any Stoeger shotgun, for field or target, and will stand behind the quality product that it is. And no, this is NOT a paid/compensated endorsement. It is an honest viewpoint from an experienced trap & sporting clay shooter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good inexpensive shotgun bought this shotgun with some reservations but the cost was inexpensive and I thought I would give it a try. My sporting clays score improved significantly. Although it is not a empressive gun with allot of engraving, the gun shoots fine and is well balanced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must own shotgun! This is a great shotgun. Only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't have an auto ejector and doesn't have a selector switch to select which barrel. But for the price you Can't beat it. I'm very happy that I purchased this shotgun

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stoeger Over Under 12g I shot 4 rounds of skeet this past weekend and for the most part the gun performed well. The ejector is not working and it had 8 to 12 misfires where the upper chamber did not or would not fire. Will be having a gunsmith look at it.
