Additional Information
STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer keeps fuel fresh for quick starts after storage and all year round.

STA-BIL is a blend of additives which prevent fuel from undergoing degradation and oxidation during prolonged storage. It acts as a protective "wrapper" around fuel molecules so they don't combine with oxygen to make fuel go stale. Fuel stabilized with STA-BIL stays fresh and will perform as though it had just been pumped from the refinery pipeline. Typically, the life of gasoline treated with STA-BIL is extended from 2 months to 15 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 15 Years in Storage! Back in the fall of 2001 I put my 1985 Dodge GLH 2.2L Turbo in storage. I added Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer to the fuel and ran the car for about 10 minutes. The plan was to get the car out the following spring. Well, next thing you know 15 years had past. I'm now relocating and I needed to move the car, so I put a fresh battery in the car, and to my amazement, it started right up. It ran like I just shut it off yesterday. No issues, runs great. The car had 3/4 tank of fuel when I stored it in 2001. If anyone at Sta-Bil is interested in a fuel sample to analyze, feel free to contact me. The 15 year old fuel is Shell Premium unleaded. Not sure what's in this product but it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't think of storing my cars without it! When I put my classics in storage for winter (6 months here in the Northeast) I would not think of storing them without a healthy dose of Sta-Bil Storage! I have never had any problems with stale gas and they fire right up in the Spring. Fill the tank to the top. add Sta-Bil and run for a few minutes to protect the fuel in the lines as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have been using stabil for ever I've been using stabil for over 20 years. My dad used to make me add it to the lawn tractor when I was in high school and just kept using it on all my gas equipment ever since. Never had any real problem starting my lawn mower outside of some bad plugs. just change the oil, the plugs and add stabil at the end of every year and it starts every srping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have a few cars and sometimes it is difficult to get them out and running in the winter time. When I learned of sta-bil, I was sold after the first time I used it. My cars started up and ran well without the usual hassle of coughing and stalling. I recommended it to my brother and now he uses it in his lawn mower and even the gas he keeps in a can for emergencies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior product I have been a lawn care, tractor, motorcycle, & boat engine mechanic for 30 + years. I Have always used Briggs and Stratton fuel stabilizer and it works great. We have tried all of sta-bils fuel stabilizers with different grades of fuel. It did not work, We even tried adding more & less than called for using 89, 92,93,octane fuel, still had problems with equipment not starting or if did start the engines would surge up and down, Or had to run with choke on.After draining many fuel tank 's and entire fuel system's and adding fresh fuel then they were o.k., I lost alot of money due to this. I WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't believe this, but it's TRUE I just sold a BT Cruiser motor home. It has a Ford Triton V-10. I used it for promotional use, pulling bass boats. Five years ago I knew it was being put up for winter so I filled it up with fuel and put stabil in it. After two years of storage I started it up and moved it out side of my shop because I needed the inside space. Last week, three years later I jumped it off and it fired right up within two seconds. That's after having the fuel with ethanol and Sta-Bil in the tank for five full years. Crazy, unbelievable, but true. I'm a believer. Randy Qualls, President, Legend Boats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 & 1/2 years in storage, it started like normal ! Testimony! This Chainsaw is 25 years old. 6 &1/2 years ago retired sawmilling and sold it and this saw has set on the floor of the garage for 6 1/2 years. Today I got it out just to clean all the gunk out of it and get it ready to take to the shop to get it running again because I figured after 6 & 1/2 years the gas had gone bad and the carb probably needed to be cleaned or rebuilt. After cleaning it up I pulled on the cord a couple times to cycle the piston to make sure it has not ceased up. 4 pulls and it STARTED! If you don't use STA-BIL in your seasonal equipment. You should. 6 AND A HALF YEARS !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The gold standard Most of us have our summer equipment (boats, lawn mowers, trimmers etc) and winter equipment (snow blowers, leaf blowers, snow mobiles etc) and when not in use they require proper storage. Fuel is probably the #1 issue for storage as gas will degrade causing numerous fuel system problems when you go to use your equipment. STA-BIL stabilizes the fuel systems and since using this, I have had ZERO carburetor or fuel injection issues. It's an absolute MUST for everyone, since we all have equipment which we put into storage occasionally! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

How to mix sta-bil with regular unleaded gasoline for it to do the job the manufacturer claims?

Asked by: hobo
if you have a 60 to 80 gal fuel tank, just dump in a 32 ounce bottle and gas her up. Simple: just divide the 8 into the 32, get 4 which will treat 20 gal each, So, if you have a 40 gal tank, just use half of the 32 oz. bottle or 16 oz.

I have an RV with a diesel engine that I will be storing for the winter. Is this product safe for a diesel engine? It doesn't state diesel on the back of the bottle, read at the store (NAPA store). Thanks!!

Asked by: Anonymous
It is for all 2-cycle and 4-cycle gasoline and diesel engines. One 8-oz. bottle treats 20 gallons.
