Additional Information
When it's time to cook for your family while on your outdoor adventures, the Solo Stove Campfire is the ideal choice for you. The portable campfire pit is made from durable 304 stainless-steel and uses sticks, twigs, pine cones or biomass as its fuel. Designed with a heat shield between the ash pan and the bottom of the stove that protects the ground under the stove from scorching. Its cooking ring's angled lip increases efficiency by strategically directing the heat towards your pot to help reduce heat loss.

How It Works
The air intake holes on the bottom of the stove channels air to the bottom of the fire while at the same time it channels warm air up between the walls of the stove. Secondary combustion is caused when the preheated oxygen is fed back into the firebox through the smaller holes on the top which ensures less smoke is produced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME This stove is a great family camping stove. You don’t have to worry about buying gas or other fuel as long as there are twigs, pine cones, or other bio fuels around. This isn’t designed for a backpacking trip (I recommend the smaller solo stoves for that), but is perfect for car camping or backyard cooking. I’ve used it to cook a big pot of chili and grilled hotdogs for a football pregame and it did not let me down. One advantage of the Campfire Stove is how efficiently it burns its fuel. There is very little smoke to contend with and minimal ash once the fire has burned out. I am a huge fan of the Solo Stove brand and the Campfire is awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solo Stove Campfire Let’s just say this is an amazing product. I just installed a new Trex deck and was looking for something to have a great campfire. First I bought a propane campfire but it just wasn’t the same. I saw this Solo Stove Campfire and decided to give it a try. I am completely amazed!! The bottoms does not get hot and will not damage the surface below. The stove burns the wood efficiently to a complete ash. There’s a little bit of smoke from the start but once the fire gets going boy is it hot with no smoke. If your looking for a fire pit may I suggest going with the Ranger or bigger to suit your needs. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good it actually replaces campfires Much better than I could have hoped for. I've always been a big fire camper, not that I make huge blazes, but rather always brought a large axe and folding saw in order to collect hours of good campfire fuel. Well, I took out the campfire-stove on a hike with a buddy and was very pleasantly surprised with how much heat and light it threw off for how little fuel was required. Didn't miss an ordinary campfire at all, not a bit, and it took perhaps 3 or 4 minutes of effort to collect an hours worth of fuel. I've since used it a couple more times and am seriously impressed. This might change my camping habits. Brilliant, excellent, a wonderful piece of kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Training Scout Leaders On some weekends I train Scout Leaders for the enjoyment of passing on knowledge. The trainees had to cook lunch for the trainees and trainers. We started on an open fire but due to the weather and fire restriction there were problems with an open fire. I suggested that maybe we could use the Solo Stove Camp Fire stove the other trainer was doubtful that it would work as we had 5 people to feed. After 30 minutes we had a single pot meal cooked that everybody enjoyed. the cleanup was quick. It was a great tool for a standing camp. I am pleased I had the stove with me and you now have a new fan at the other Trainer as very impressed with how the stove worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Thus Far Disclaimer: I have only used it a few times at home so far; it won't get camping use for a few more weeks. However, in a few minutes, I have a fire ready to roast marshmallows on my deck (placed on a glass table top for convenience). A couple pieces of newspaper, a handful on twigs, and a few larger kindling size pieces split from a log and the fire is roaring and ready to roast. When not fed more wood, the Campfire consumes the wood quickly and efficiently. I haven't timed it, but the ashes are cool and ready to be dumped in what seems like a flash. I expect the experience to be equally satisfying cooking at a camp site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great stove for camping and family or group backpacking This is a great stove for camping and family or group backpacking. There's no need for fuel canisters, and the stove is big enough that you can cook with decent-sized pots that will feed, in my case, growing boys. Why not just use a campfire? Well, you certainly can, and that works great, too. But if you don't feel like getting a whole big fire going, you can just get dinner done with this stove using a lot less wood and time. It also puts the wood to much more efficient use, meaning that when wood is burned in this stove, you get more heat and less smoke than you would with a regular campfire, and the heat is nearly all directed at cooking your food. A great invention!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Also good for when I know I am not allowed to ... I have the Original Solo Stove, which I keep in my pack. I have the Titan, which I keep with my "Truck Camping" gear. Now I have the Campfire, which I will be keeping with my "Glamping" (RV) gear. I wanted something for those times when there were no fire pits at the RV Park, but still want to have a fire. I tested it out, and it will definitely do the trick! Also good for when I know I am not allowed to have an open fire in the woods, "What do you mean, Mr. Ranger Sir, I don't have a campfire going... this is just my stove." :) It is a little hard to tell by the pictures, but it is big. The best way I have found to describe it is "Cookie Jar" sized. Maybe a little bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome camping stove This camping stove is great. Majority of other wood burning camping stove are quite small. My family only does glamping so the size of this Campfire fits us very well. So far we've only used it for a backyard smore and kids loved it, all we needed was to pick some twigs around the house and we've got enough fuel. It was very easy to light and burns very clean with just a tiny bit of smoke. We look forward to having more fun with this stove. BTW, for anyone who's considering a wind screen, please note that Solostove windscreen is too short for this stove, that one only fits the other two smaller camping stoves.
