Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate right out of the box! I bought this gun 3 weeks ago , its very accurate very low recoil virtually none if you put a good muzzle device at the tip but the standard A2 does the gun just as much justice! would definitely recommend this to any one looking to buy a high quality rifle its supposed to be entry level but forget it about that this gun can definitely hang with the big boys at the range so happy that i bought this ! good investment

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Gun Magazine came damaged (large crack down both sides). Didn't notice it right away. Went into the store a week later and was told to bring the magazine back and they would exchange it. Works for me.

Being a Law Enforcement Officer, can this be bought in NY State

No. The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II has both a detachable magazine and a pistol grip, which makes it ineligible for purchase in New York under current laws.

Can i switch out the front sights/gas block and replace it with a low profile gas block so i can get a longer handguard?

Asked by: Vinny
Yes. It's possible to remove the front sight, but it's not easily removable and requires special tools. It may be best to work with a gunsmith if you're inexperienced with such modifications.
