Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality, no tech support Instruction manual displays 2 arbors, only one included with kit. I could not get the included arbor to fit .223 barrel. Instructions say to use the arbor that is not included. I emailed factory with return receipt on multiple times, and got no response from factory. The laser in the unit that I have was not centered. It would paint a large circle on the wall. It has adjustment screws to center it but I got tired of trying to center it. Until they get the unit [...] with the right parts, and tech support that responds to questions, and the laser centered in the housing with the supplied arbors do not waste your money. As another reviewer stated it is good for playing with the cat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Well Out of the package I checked the laser run-out to the shaft. I found it to run out about 2" at 3 feet. I then adjusted the laser with the Allen wrench provided and got the run-out under 1/8". I found when using, lightly oil the o-rings on the shaft and it will slide into the barrel without cutting them. Also, I sighted the weapon using averages. That is, remove the laser, reinstall a few times as well as cycling the weapon. ( I was using on a 9mm semi-auto handgun).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money Used the smallest o-rings per directions, and they were too big to go into bore of 223 Remimgton. The o-rings were cut when I pushed the arbor into the barrel. On the bright side, my wife has fun letting the cat chase the red dot around on the living room floor. About all it's good for!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Before you buy Dont spend the money on this product. Drove 25 miles to the Gander store only to find out they had very few options to select from. Bought it for my new .17 HMR. Soon as i turn it on then went to turn it off..... ON/OFF switch broke. Im not driving back to the Morrisville, NC store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Diappointing Product First off I have to compliment the people at the Novi, Gander Mountain store. They were very helpful and understanding concerning my frustrations with this product. Great Job guys!! I bought this item excited about what I thought was a good deal on a laser bore-sighter that would work on all my firarms from my 17hmr on up to my muzzle loaders. First thing I did was to place the item into a rifle that I knew was dead on. The laster and my reticle were no where near eachother UNTIL!!! I rotated the bore-sighter in the muzzle. I discovered at 25 ft that the laser drew a 5 inch circle on the wall as I rotated it. I took it into work and used a V block and granite inspection table. when I nested on the housing the laser was pretty much dead on, confidence was building. When I nested on the either of the arbors the same result as in the muzzle a 5 inch circle at 25 ft. There are adjustment screws on the houseing, and I did play with those for an afternoon, but when I switched arbors there would require additional adjusting. Sadly I had to return the item. My diagnosis of the issue is the housing and arbor are not concentric. Too bad nice unit other than that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No good for 50 smokepole The reason I purchased this product was primarily for a 50 cal. muzzleloader. I first tried it in a 270. win that was right on and the boresighter was pretty accurate, then I put on the largest set of O-rings for my muzzleloader but they were not large enough for the barrel. The boresight would sag in the barrel. Worthless for a muzzleloader but Ok for rifles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad boresighter I don't want to sound negitive, but the fact is this boresight is not accurate. When pushing the lazer into the bore, the washers slide all over the tube.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from o rings allow movement Several other comments have covered the o ring problem. Its not a stable or accurate platform for getting sights even close to being on paper.

Stupid question time , will this bore sight work with a .177 caliber pellet rifle?

Asked by: Anonymous
We can't guarantee optimal performance as it is for .15-.50 Calibers, but it should work to a certain degree that will get you started.

Using this boresight, where is the 25ft measured from; the front most edge of the muzzle? Instructions for this boresight mention doing the procedure at both 18ft and 25ft ; do I aim the laser boresight at the same crosshair on the target for both?
