Rated 5 out of 5 by from M11-a1 25 anniversary edition I bought this at Xmas 2017. It shoots fantastic and never had a failure to feed or eject. Very accurate, reliable and smooth. In fact the more it is shot the smoother it gets. I have run approximately 5,000 rounds through it and it just keeps getting better. Everyone that shoots it comments about the short reset trigger, how nice it is. The engraving adds to the cool factor. I installed the E2 grips because I have little girl hands! They work perfectly for my small hands. You can't do any better than buying a sig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size This is the perfect size for a carry pistol. It is no less accurate than its larger sibling, the P226. I have had a love-hate relationship with the DA/SA action. On one hand I feel less intimidated and safer carrying a round in the chamber with DA and have practiced enough that my first shot is no different than the rest. But,..., the idea of having just one trigger pull tugs at me when I fire in SA. Sorry, but other than a classic 1911, nothing beats the trigger of the M11-A1 in SA mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from M11-A1 First 140 I purchased my M11-A1 new in April, 2019. The pistol was in pristine condition and came with three 15 Round Magazines. I did a field strip, clean, and lube. The inside looked as good as the outside without any visible tool marks. The magazine spring is strong and the 15th round was difficult to load in all three magazines. I loaded the magazines with 14 rounds and let them sit for 24 hours. Then over the next few days, every 24 hours, I emptied the magazines completely, and reloaded them trying to get that 15th round loaded. Little by little, one by one, I was able to load all three magazines to their 15 round capacity. My first trip to the range I fired 140 rounds thru the M11-A1, 100 rounds FMJ, and 40 rounds of assorted self-defense ammo: Yavex 115 Grain FMJ 100 Rounds Magtech First Defense Bonded 124 Grain JHP 10 Rounds Hornady American Gunner 124 Grain +P XTP 10 Rounds Hornady Critical Duty 135 Grain +P FlexLock 10 Rounds Speer Gold Dot 124 Grain +P GDHP 10 Rounds The M11-A1 was flawless with all of the above ammo. The pistol shot point-of-aim/point-of-impact. The Short-Reset/Short-Reach Trigger is by far the best I've ever fired on any out-of-the-box, Double-Action/Single Action duty pistol. Standing with a two handed grip, firing rapid, controlled pairs, baseball size center mass groups at 12 yards were the norm. Head shots at the same distance were also easily achievable in both double and single action. To sum up the M11-A1's first range trip, zero malfunctions, zero issues, zero concerns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic compact pistol I bought this pistol for three reasons, first, it’s a DA/SA Sig, and second, I don’t have anything in this size, and lastly, it does NOT have a rail. I have three full size Sig pistols and have never had an issue with any, all are accurate, fit my hands well and are exceedingly reliable (I have never had a failure with any of them which is the most important part). I far prefer a hammer fired traditional double action to any other trigger system for a defensive pistol. While the double action pull on the M11-A1 is heavier than any of my other TDA pistols the single action and short reset will give a 3rd generation Smith a run for its money any time. It definitely has the best reset of any TDA trigger I have ever shot. As far as the rail goes, I just don’t care to have one on a compact pistol, I am not attaching some flashlight or laser that is going to stick out 2” past the muzzle it so I don’t need a rail (and putting an attachment on it defeats the “compact” purpose). I have had rails hang up on holsters too, especially those “universal” holsters that go in backpacks and such. Especially on a compact pistol a rail kills the clean lines of the firearm. I don’t mind a rail on the full size P-226 and P-227 since I do attach lights on those. For whatever reason the very first magazine I fired through the M11-A1 went about a foot low at 15 yards. It had to have been the ammunition because the next magazine went to point of aim and has shot there ever since. That first magazine was filled with the remains of a partial box of FMJ ammunition, everything since then has been from the same lot or quality defensive ammunition. It definitely has a preference for Federal HST’s. I did replace the factory grips with, well, factory grips. The standard plastic grips just were not to my liking and I purchased a set of the Sig laminated wood grips for the P-229 Equinox. They installed easily on updated M-11 grip and fit my hands much better. They are a bit slick on the backstrap but feel much better to me than the plastic grips. The rosewood were out of stock at the time but were also a consideration, I think the darker Equinox ones probably do look better on the pistol. Overall the “little” Sig is one of my favorite to shoot and carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sig P229 A-1 is Awesome! I Purchased this pistol in November 2018 . It is very very accurate with all 9 mm loads . I did not want a light rail which this M 11 does not have. I added Sig’s A2 grips which improve the handling of this pistol much better than the larger slicker standard grips! I have 550 rounds through it so far and not one hiccup at all!! I highly Recommend the Sig P229 to anyone wanting a great double action pistol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sig hit a grand slam with this one! Purchased this amazing firearm over 1.5 years ago, roughly 800 rounds of 124 gr. JHP/FMJ through it, and NO issues! The tolerances on this firearm are tight! DA is long and heavy (what I love), and SA is beyond words, with a short reset that has me smiling all day!!! I carry it in a BlackPoint Tactical custom Sig IWB holster, and I only wish I had unlimited ammo to shoot it everyday!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SIG M11 A1 This firearm is one of the most accurate handguns I own. I was an ex-revolver guy and the only semi-auto I owned was a Beretta 92F. Since that time, I have acquired a 226, a 227, and a 229 in 357SIG, that just blows me away. Next is a Legion. I want to try to find one in 357SIG. These guns are fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pistol I bought my M11-A1 several years ago after they came out. Since then I have fired several thousand rounds through it with no failures what so ever. Once I used it in a Personnel Protection Outside the Home class where in two weekends I fired over 1200 rounds with no cleaning in between and no failures. Love this firearm.
