Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic firearm Purchased this product a few months ago. The performance is amazing I have put well over 1000 rounds down range with no malfunctions yet. I only have one problem with the rear sight, it was floating to the left during firing. I sent it back to the factory to be repaired and got it back within 2 weeks and have not had a problem with it since. Overall I think it is a fantastic firearm it also came with 4 magazine's that perform great as well. Sig has always impressed me with the quality and dependability of their firearms. Will definitely be making another purchase soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great 1911. I bought mine from a friend who said he could'nt get the gun to "group". The first time I shot it, I shot 3" groups at 25 yards. No rest, or "leaning", just the Weaver stance. this gun has NEVER failed to feed, using everything from my reloads (185 Gr XTP hollowpoints) to factory Rem 230 Gr ball ammo. No stove pipes on ejection. It just shoots. The only minor complaint I can offer is that the checkering on the front of the frame is a little sharp for a day of shooting. I own 4 other 1911's by various makers, and this gun is my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 1911 I have owned Tacops 10mm is the sixth 1911 I have owned. First sig 1911, and by far the best out of the box pistol in my opinion. Fit and finish of pistol is 5 stars. Grips feel great along with front strap checkering. Took it out to my backyard range and ran fmj flat nose without any problems. Loaded up a few mags of speer 200 gr. gold dots, functioned flawless.. I guess when average shooter like myself puts 8 rounds in group you could cover with fist at 12 yards right out of the box, several in same hole. I would say accuracy 5 stars. Tacops fit perfect in my Swap Rig holster. With that holster I can carry all day with no problems. Definitely I will make Sig Tacops my everyday carry pistol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable very accurate A good friend of mine with the (Galveston County Sherrif)’s department I noticed him and quite a few officers were carrying this particular 1911 by Sig. They highly recommended it it was one of the best decisions I made I have taken my gun out and shot it probably around 3000 rounds and not had any issues whatsoever I just clean oil and that’s it this is a high-quality pistol

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice gun, weak finish. Purchased last weekend. Immediately dropped a couple of boxes through it. Pleasure to shoot and dead accurate. Finish is weak though. I have to agree with Bigmak, the weapon has all the features that I was looking for but and I find it a dream to shoot, but the finish is weak. Shot it, put it back in the case then the safe at the house, took it out to clean and immediately notices nicks in the finish around the ejection port from spent casing. If you get the gun for the features, be warned about the finish. I would expect more from Sig Sauer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid I use this when I need extra comforting. It is well built, accurate, trigger is very good and it is reliable. I added a 300xua for nighttime needs, and it is a solid setup at a very reasonable price. I would recommend at least a single 10mm for your collection and this is a great choice. Btw, my favorite 10mm load is the gold dot 200 but this seems to work better with the excellent sig 180 ammo which you can get on this site. It is more mild than you’d probably expect and very accurate

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatly exceeded expectations. No buyer's remorse As only a recent gun owner, I knew I wanted a 10mm but this was not my 1st choice. Based only on Sig's reputation I took a chance and i’m glad i did. Despite being an over 50 year old novice, this is absolutely the easiest shot among my pistols (M9A3 and CZ P-10) and also the ones I have tested. I expected to work at controlling the beast. Not so. This guy lands shot after shot -- on target and with ease. That’s what everyone says about the competition. Neither of my other purchases gives these results and acclimated this quickly. The grips are perfect in the hand and draw the attention of range staff who always want a look. Everyone else is shooting Delta Elites, Springfields, and RIA -- all of which tempted me. But this gun is why I head to the range. I could do without the creaky trigger, but that hasn't exactly hurt the shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10mm TACOPS - Great Value! I've owned may 1911's, from RIA to Dan Wesson. This SIG sits on the upper levels of quality and precision, just under Dan Wesson. Series 80 style trigger take-up and ever-so-slight-creep right before the break, leaves a little to be desired, but overall, still has a decent break. I didn't have a trigger pull scale, but I'd venture to guess my example's trigger was right at 5.5 pounds. I would appreciate more sight options from SIG.** Example: X-RAY style front with tactical ledge rear night sights. ** I appreciate Sig keeping it classy with the GI style guide rod/spring set up. *Plus: Flat Wire Recoil Spring is simply awesome! Major upgrade! Slide-to-frame fitment is very good, glides like glass, with just a hint of play. Barrel fitment is tight as a bank vault. Accuracy was completely perfect. Bullseye perfect. Sights are dead on. *Side note: Grip safety travel distance necessary to allow trigger engagement is excessive. Could easily be reduced 40% and still be 100% safe and functional. Regarding safeties, the ambi levers on this platform are just about the perfect size. I normally avoid ambi safeties altogether, as the right side can be quite intrusive to my grip and easily bumped to "fire" position while carrying. This is not an issue with Sig's setup. Levers are still large enough to get a proper thumb-on-safety firing grip. The safety "snick" is decent. A little soft going to safe position, but solid and quite audible when moved to "fire". Grips: This examples' stocks are plastic, hollow on back, but feel great in-hand. I know that this is one area where many 1911 owners really like to personalize their guns' appearance and function. I am no different, as I ordered Black VZ Tactical Slants. (Factory grip panels did NOT work loose on my range trip, which is a first for me) Front strap checkering is 25 lpi, feels great, not too harsh and really locks in to your hand. The mainspring housing is your typical 20 lpi, also helpful and not painful. Trigger guard undercut is mild, but definitely noticeable and yields a slightly higher purchase with better overall feel. The magwell is lined up with the opening and functions great, but there is a noticeable gap, visible from the side profile, growing wider, back to front. Fitment could be better here. Range Time: I fired 218 rounds. A mixture of round nose flat point and truncated cones. All fed and chambered perfectly. I am quite pleased with my first, but definitely not last, SIG 1911 purchase. BIG thumbs up!! One last thing. The magazines. ~ FOUR! You get FOUR magazines with this amazing package! Four magazines that function perfectly, have top-quality followers and hold 9 rounds, not 8, as listed in here. *Suggestion: Load 8 rounds in all four mags at first, let them sit for a day or two. Springs will "take a seat". Then unload and load with 9 rounds. For the first time in my history of purchasing 1911's, I don't feel the need to buy aftermarket mags to get good function out of my pistol! (Wilson, Tripp, Chip etc.)
