Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Favorite All Purpose Rod. This is my absolute favorite rod I've ever owned. My last one landed a ton of fish. I was very disappointed to find the eyelet on the last guide broke after about a year and a lot of steelhead and bass landed on this rod. I ordered 2 more and they're as good as the last. Not sure when the eyelet broke but it's the only rod I've ever experienced a broken guide and the only reason I rated it 4/5. The rod has enough backbone to land big fish but it is a very moderate action with a lot of play in the last 12-18". Worth the upgrade over the SKR4 7ft medium light. Makes the fight fun with more confidence to land the fish. (I have it paired with a Pflueger Patriarch 35, I've found 15lb braid and 8lb fluro are great matches for this rod. I would suggest using for anything with treble hooks, such as crankbaits or inline spinners, or jigging.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good rod for the money I spent quite a bit on a Sakana years ago and it was one of my favorite rods. My son stepped on it and broke it. was pleased to be able to find it at Gander and replace it at a much lower cost than I originally spent!
