Additional Information
Designed to handle any load, anywhere, every time, the Remington Versa Max sets a new standard for reliability in autoloading shotguns. Proven in the field and in extreme tests of endurance with thousands of test rounds, it cycles 12-gauge loads from 2-3/4" to 3-1/2" magnum with ultimate consistency, softer recoil, and less maintenance than you've ever experienced. The Versaport gas system regulates cycling pressure based on shell length, reducing recoil to that of a 20-gauge. The enlarged trigger guard opening and larger safety for easier use with gloves. A TriNyte barrel and nickel Teflon-plated internal components offer extreme corrosion resistance. Overmolded gripping panels. Drilled and tapped receiver. Four Pro Bore Extended choke tubes (F/XF/M/IC) included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the best review described it I had been saving up for over a year to be able to buy a Versa Max in Duck blind camo and while i was saving i kept looking everyday for new videos reviews and other articles in Cabelas, American RIfleman, DU, and online. All the reviews were great and i had been to my local Gander to hold one to get the feel and it was a perfect fit. I bought mine and have shot a couple boxes of 2 3/4" through it just some cheap stuff for now but i checked to see if the recoil system would pick up a 3 1/2" off of a 2 3/4" and it did every time. very soft shooting, low muzzle jump, very easy to clean. absolutely love the gun to death. Hoping to break it right this September for early goose season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is what is Advertised! And More! The Remington Versa Max is as advertised! It will be used for turkey hunting primarily, but also pheasant hunting, quail hunting, duck and goose hunting. It is a very, very good gun. Heavily engineered to conquer any hunting situation. This gun is so easy to take apart that my 10 year old son did it and made a video of it. Very happy with the purchase, the service, the tradition of Remington, and the gun itself. I recommended this gun to many people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remington Nailed It My biggest reason for buying this is the anti corrosion coatings. I wanted a gun that will withstand the abuse of regular waterfowl hunting in a blind on the lake, or in the field when the lake freezes. Once I picked this up I realized that it is NOT as pictured online. Not a big deal because it is even better looking, it looks like the waterfowl pro on GM website (camo with black molded grips) This gun came with everything I needed except ammo: magazine plug, 3 color HiViz sights, trigger padlock, steel shot rated extended choke tubes, allen wrench and plates to adjust the buttstock, all in a plastic case. When shopping for my new gun I was considering the SX3 by winchester and the A350 by berretta. The only reason I chose the Versamax was because it shoulder the best between the three for me. I was shooting a Remington 1100 previously. The first time I took it out I did 100 targets of sporting clays and was stoked that my score was comparable to what I shot with my old gun! I was also excited that a 3.5 chamber hunting gun cycled 100 rounds of cheap 2.75 target loads with out any hiccups, or marks on my shoulder. The next time I shot it was 16 rounds of non toxic 3.5 shells to pattern it, again with no marks on my shoulder. I highly recommend patterning, it is a must to see what your chokes are doing and at what distances they are working. I have read that Remingtons extended pro bore choke tubes are junk, but with the right ammo this thing shoot great! After that I took it to practice trap and cycled 250 more 2.75 rounds of the cheapest ammo I could get. The gun did great with regular bore snaking, and I wiped down the trigger before early goose started. My second time out at trap a friend noticed the buttstock was crooked, I readjusted it straight and dropped the comb and I was shooting better. For whatever reason it was sent like this from Remington. Now early goose and early duck came and went and my versamax has been dusting clays and dropping birds with absolutely no troubles. I have shot 2.75, 3, and 3.5 ammos from 6 different manufacturers in 10 different configurations and have had zero problems! It shoulders great for me, the soft rubber comb insert is extremely comfortable when shooting a lot of targets and especially on those 3.5 hunting rounds. I really hope it holds up and last me a long, long time. I LOVE THIS GUN! If you think you want one then get one.

What are the differences between this (GM435320 28" barrel, 4 chokes 4+1 rounds, fiber optic sight) and (700594 26" barrel, 1 choke, 2+1 rounds, and bead sights)? I'm trying to figure out the price gap vs features. Thanks.

Asked by: Brownie
The Remington Versa Max Sportsman is designed as a budget-priced alternative to the standard Versa Max. In addition to the differences you mentioned, the Sportsman lacks the nickel narrel and nickel teflon plated internal components found on the standard Versa Max models.
