Should do the job
Should do the job. Wish it had a chain on the cap to help pull it through the bilge drain hole by attaching it to the plug. Also wish it had a valve so that the oil wasn't being retained by the cap on the hose. Nothing that's a big deal, otherwise I prefer this method to sucking oil out through the dipstick tube.

Good idea, but fell short
The concept of this product is good (to drain the oil without making a mess.) Unfortunately the design comes up a little short. The hose will not fit through a standard drainplug hole. I didn't want to drain the oil into the bottom of the boat, that was the reason for buying this. Returned it.

Hose too large
If you have a "standard" 1/2" drain hole, don't get this. The hose does NOT fit out the drain hole. I tried 2 different ones from this manufacturer and neither one fit out the drain hole.

Get the old oil OUT!!!!
Allows you to drain the oil pan completely. Easy to use. I have connected mine to an oil drain pump and can use it anytime, not just when the boat is out of the water.

Will this hose and fitting, fit through the transom if the hole is less that 3/4"?
Hello Phathead, Yes. The hose and fitting end that would go through the transom is approximately 5/8" in diameter. Thank you, Steve

Hello Dusty, You will need to determine who the manufacturer is of your straight 6 engine block. This oil drain kit is designed for use with '96 or newer Chevy 350 and 454 engines and replacement oil pans. Thank you, Steve

how does this work? I bought it and need some info how use \ install thanks
You unscrew your oil plug and replace it with this drain hose, that has an oil plug on the end of it. It is for easier access to the plug when you want to drain you oil.

I have a Malibu Response LXI 380 Hammerhead? Which one should I get and can it be left on year round?
It can be left on year round, but unfortunately i have not information on cross referencing boats. You would have to figure out your thread size and provide us with that information.

I have a 4.3 liter Mercruiser engine that's in a 2000 Bayliner model 1850 LX. Will this fit the oil pan or do I need another part number.
For use with '96 or newer Chevy 350 and 454 engines and replacement oil pans. We have no way of cross referencing boats. We can only go on engine type. As long as your engine falls in this category, it will work for you.
