With a range of up to 28 miles and 2662 channel combinations, you can spread out and not have to worry about any interference from other radios. Coverage of 10 NOAA weather channels keeps you prepared for storms, and in the event of a major storm or weather condition, the NOAA Weather Alert emits a tone and automatically switches to the broadcasting channel. Furthermore, the 28-Mile Walkie Talkie's water-resistance handles severe weather, and a built-in LED flashlight offers emergency guidance in the dark. VibrAlert provides enhanced, vibrating feedback for incoming transmissions, and if your hands are full at the time, the VOX feature offers voice-detecting, hands-free transmission. Special battery-saver feature automatically switches to battery-saver mode if no transmissions are made for 10 seconds. Includes rechargeable NiMH batteries and a two-port charging dock, but can also operate with AA alkaline batteries. 1-year warranty on radios sold in USA.
