Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible seats-Summer Bummer Just bought a pair of these seats and after only 3 times out on the water the vinyl is torn right in the middle of the seat. I bought these because I did not have time to recover my existing prior to the season starting and thought that these would at least get me through a season or two allowing me time to get my old ones redone, I could not be more shocked at the low quality of these seats. I am a big guy no doubt 6'4" 280lbs but surely didn't expect for the whole seam of the seat to blow out the way it has( my old ones wore out due to weather and exposure not usage)....now I have to remove the seats and see if Overton will make good on a refund or replacement for this(preferably a refund). Now Overton delivered this in a timely manner they look great they just do not perform under minimal usage. BIG BUMMER!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from see in person before buying, little kids Well i bought these for my boat, well without the site having any dimensions, i figured they would be a decent size. got them in and they looked like a little kids chairs, not very tall of a seat height, jump seats arent wide at all... these plastic frames doesnt look like it would last the test of time, jump seats have to be placed against a wall cuase the plastic backing would snap off eventually. Even if they were slightly bigger, i dont feel the price is worth it. over $600 [...]???? id expect to pay half that for these things.... and then i still wouldnt buy them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boat Seat Package Boat seat package was a direct fit for my boat. Seats went together ok. Instructions for seat bases were not as detailed for the average user (cross member placement). As for the back to back seats, they seem to be poorly constructed for those times you want to lay them down, even more, when you would like to put them back in the "up" position. Maneuvering them there is what you may have trouble. The jump seats were also ok. Only problem with them I found was accessing the under seat storage. Its very difficult to do and may require moving the back board of the seat up to get the seat cushion off. Overall not a bad buy, price is good, especially if you grab a coupon. Anything helps. Seats look great, as mine were all red/grey.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excelent product for the price Extremely easy to put together, even for the most novice. The seats are great looking, unfortunately I cant say the same for the quality of the base. The base's are very flimsy, they bend and lift off the deck if anybody leans or put the slightes pressure against the side of the seats. I am affraid they might one day crack or break at where they are secured. The instructions dont tell you that you can cut the base to lower the ride hieght of the seat which would have been helpfull. The seat base is also much smaller then the original base so you have no idea what you are screwing into. I had the bad luck and managed to hit my fuel fill hose. I think i could come up with a sturdier design. I would say all an all they are not to bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overton's Deluxw Seats are the best! We are recreational boaters and do some fishing. We have an older boat and either needed to replace the boat or start replacing the worn out parts. We love our boat and really hate to spend another $30k to $50k during these tough fincial times. So we decided to replace the seats and Overton's is the place we landed. We researched all the other manufacturers but decided to give Overton's a chance and we are glad we did. They are much more than we expected. The combination package made it an easy decision. The seats look great and feel great. Easy to order [...] Thank you Overton's for your commitment to the customer. I will be glad to tell all of my boater friends who to chose when upgrading. Make an old friend look 100% better! Thanks again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great seat for the price The seats are easy to put together and easy to install. They are slightly flimsy when unfolding them but we do not do this very often. The material is durable and good quality. The jump seats are a little taller than the original seats, its mainly the seat back. I actually cut the back and installed a hinge so I could put the battery under the seat and flip the seat up to get access. I have no regrets with this purchase and would recommend these seats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I hoped for This is a Great replacement product. The only thing I would recommend is to lightly tap all the staples down flush with the material on seat backing and put some finish screws about 4 on each seat with finish washers about1/2" long at the corners where the beading and covering material are sown together for added durability to prevent the staples pulling due to extended use. All in all great product! Top quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality set of seats! I purchased these to replace seats in a boat that I recently purchased used. The old seats had wood bases that had rotted out, and the vinyl was completely degraded. These seats fit perfectly and now my boat looks brand new inside again. I like the fact that the bases are made of plastic so they are completely waterproof. The vinyl is a good quality too.

Will these seats fit our 17', 1990 Four Winns Horizon ?

Asked by: Rob
Thanks for your question. These are universal seats designed to fit most boats that do not have built-in seat bases. You will need to measure the space available in your 1990 Four Winns to ensure these will fit your specific application. The lounge seats should not be an issue and a boat this size should have adequate space for the lounge seats. For the jump seats, assuming you have an inboard / outboard motor, you will need to measure the space on each side of the engine compartment cover to ensure the space is large enough and these seats will fill the space enough to suit your needs. If you do not need the rear jump seats you can just order the lounge seats, item 72067. If you need further assistance please email us back or call one of our product techs at 1-800-334-6541 and they will assist you.

Thank you for your question. The following assembly instructions will help you see how the base of the seat has cross members that can be screwed into the floor or your boat, or the sub base in your case. http://www.overtons.com/assets/prodman/72067ovt.pdf

If I buy the back to back/jump seat package, can I also buy extra vinyl for other parts on my boat at a later time? If so,what is the width of the vinyl and what is the price?

Asked by: Ken
Yes. Matching vinyl is available for these seats and the item number is 72519. The vinyl is sold the the running yard and the roll is 54" wide. For example if you order a quantity of 3 you will get a roll that is 54" wide by 9 feet long. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Wise-Standard/Deluxe-Boat-Seat-Matching-Vinyl&i=72519

I have 2 questions about ordering the complete seat package please. 1- I'm thinking to line the inside of the base with marine plywood for stability. Your recomendation? 2- How can we find the shipping costs prior to an order?

Asked by: denham48
Plywood is not necessary and will eventually rot after getting wet or damp. You can find out shipping by filling out an order on our website and it will tell you before you enter your card number.

Is there some way to match replacement boat seats with a particular make and model of boat. For instance, what seats would fit a 1986 18.5 foot Glastron bowrider?

Asked by: Anonymous
There is not a way for us to do that. Only the boat dealers can do that. Therefore, you will need to use the dimensions for the seats to see if they will work on your application.

Would be using these seats for an 18' 1968 Starcraft Holiday. The transom deck is 25.75" high above the floor so these jumps would exceed that in height. Does the vinyl fabric extend over the the top and down the back of the seat enough (2" min.)? Also on the stern port side this boat has an original steel gas tank, the dimensions of which are 16"w, 18"d, 12"h, and the bow end of which projects 14" minimum from the transom interior drop fascia, so I want to make sure your jumps will allow for this tank. I also need to know the width of the jump seats to see if I'd have to rebuild the I/O engine enclosure. Thanks, Holiday68

The dims for the jump seat are as follows: 27.25" H x 15.5" W x 17.25" D Seat Depth: 13" Base: 10" H x 14" W x 13.25" D The seats are completely vinyl wrapped, so you would have to worry about the back of the seat not being covered.
