Can you describe how these work? I assume they are shot in the air somehow? If you are out in the middle of a lake on your boat, where are they launched from without damaging the boat or putting people in danger?

Asked by: lakechq
These are small flares that are intended to be fired from a boat, so they won't harm anyone or damage anything, as long as they're not pointed at anyone/anything. To use, simply pop it on the top with the palm of your hand. This releases the bottom, which extends out like a slide whistle. Once the bottom is extended, you'll find a small, looped chain. Put your finger through the chain and pull down, making sure the flare is pointed in the air.
