Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fan of the MaxxFan Installed this MaxxFan Deluxe to replace a Fantastic Fan. Even though the Fantastic Fan was not very old, it was noisier than we were happy with. We took a chance on the MaxxFan and although time will tell as far as quality etc, it is so much quieter then the Fantastic Fan. Also great is that the 10 speed settings. Our old one only had three speeds. This new fan on the few low speeds is so quiet you can barely hear it. We also love the fact that we were able to get rid of our big clunky roof dome rain covers as this new fan design builds the cover right into it. I gotta say, it looks like a definite improvement if the quality holds up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MaxxFan is quiet and easy to install I haven't really had a chance to see how it will do on a trip but it was easy to put in in the site where a Fantastic Fan was. It might not be so easy if you have to cut your own hole. It sticks up a bit further than the old fan but it is much quieter, at least at the lower speeds with, according to specs, a correspondingly lower power draw. I hope that the ability to remain open in the rain makes the cost and labor ( my own) justifiable. The rain ability is the main reason I got it. The rain shields available for the old fan were too tall and would have kept me from parking in my small barn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hand's down the Best Opening Roof Vent in America! I have purchased 2 so far, first one went into my then brand new fiberglass trailer that the "Fantastic Fan" came with...well you can't run it while it's raining so on a muggy night I got no sleep. Found out about the Maxxair, installed it and never looked back. Few years later when I decided to convert a 2010 Transit Connect into a little campervan, this was the first thing I ordered. Well worth the cost. Add a 100 watt solar panel to the roof and you can leave it running on low year round for better ventilation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out with old It moves a lot of air, and with the opening being under the top cover was the best option for replacing the front vent on our 5th wheel camper, as it slopes down in the front and the original vent allowed rain in if open even a little during a shower. Easy installation, hardest part is cleaning the old glue and putty off after removing the old one. You will need to purchase mounting putty or silicone and also roof seal self leveler that works for your roof type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throws air horizontally Tends to throw the air out in all directions horizontally across the ceiling instead of straight down. This helps not create a super strong downdraft in a concentrated spot which is probably a good design choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MaxxFan Installed in TT I installed a MaxxFan in my 23' travel trailer without any problems. It took extra time for all the logistics but was worth it in the end. The MaxxFan is very quiet and does a good job of bringing in more ventilation which will be a big benefit in the summer when we dry dock using only solar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fan is great Customer service is Terrible Fan is exactly what I wanted and needed. It didn't have the remote in the box however. I emailed customer service and didn't hear back. After a week I called and after 45 min on hold I decided to hang up. Maybe they will respond to a email this month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan with easy installation Love these fans. This is the second fan I have installed in our rig and the installation cannot possibly be easier. It is ultra quiet and powerful with a 10-speed motor. Our third and final fan will be the remote version of this fan since it will be in the living area with high ceilings.

Does this fan offer reverse ventilation? Can I set it to extract air from the vehicle while cooking?
