Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best choice for cooking I use this seasoned cast iron skillet for stir-frying, hamburgers, scrambing eggs, and sauces and gravies. I add a little oil or oil spray, heat up on low fire, then add ingredients and turn up heat to medium--it never sticks! Just wash in water with no soap detergent, or take a paper towel and rub with salt all over inside--it's clean in a jiffy and is always seasoned for non-stick and easy cleaning. Additionally, no toxic materials to worry about. The assist handle is a great addition to the pan! Definitely, Lodge Logic cast iron frying pan a must in my kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Skillet for the price Nice skillet for the price as I caught it on sale. I'm not using this for the outdoors, but in my kitchen for every day use. It is a bit to heavy for the fiance to handle, but I really like it. It comes seasoned, but it's not quite seasoned enough to be non stick right out of the box. I seasoned it again in the oven for a few hours coated in oil and now it works excellent. I would definintely suggest this skillet to anyone looking for some good smaller cast iron cookware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Skillet!! I had received an e-mail from Gander Mountain on sale items and this skillet was one of the items I needed to "round out" my camping equipment. I received it in time for my little excursion this past weekend with a buddy and my brother-in-law. I cooked up breakfast for the weekend and the pan did exactly what other reviewers have already attested. It is non-stick, although I highly recommend "seasoning" it again prior to first use. I brushed a little cooking oil on the inside surfaces and put it in a 350 degree F. oven for about 90 minutes. If you put too much oil in the pan and there's a little residual when you take it out of the oven, just let the pan cool down and use a couple of paper towels to remove the excess oil. I am very happy with this product and am now considering a Dutch Oven purchase over the winter so I'll be ready come spring! Buy this pan...you won't be sorry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice sized skillet for 1 or 2 Skillet feels of quality and is nicely pre-seasoned. As expected, I had issues with the handle being quite small and it can get quite hot during use, so be sure to use a pot holder while cooking and choke up on it to get a firm grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to skillet for most cooking. I have 2 of this size, one for in the kitchen and one for camping. The more you use a cast iron skillet the smoother it becomes. The one in our kitchen gets used at least 4 times a week, sometimes every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality - very satisfied Wife loves these skillets - she says to use a little more cooking oil to prevent sticking but easy to clean by wiping with paper towel. She now uses these more than our teflon coated skillets.

What does preseasoned mean?

Asked by: Anonymous
Typically cast iron pans will rust due to their composition. A coating of oil will prevent this. Preseasoned means pre oiled so you can just rinse and use it the first time. Hence why you are not supposed to use soap to clean it and why you need to oil it after washing it
