Additional Information
XTP Sabot Bullets deliver the deep, terminal penetration needed for one-shot kills. The 250 grain XTP bullet/sabot combination is known for its ability to expand reliably across a wide range of velocities. Special features in the nose facilitate and control expansion on impact. Good shooters with quality barrels can achieve sub 1" groups at 100 yards. The plastic sabot protects the bullet as it travels through the barrel enhancing accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kills like lighting Nothing out there is better than a XTP. The shock it tranfers is unreal. Deer drop like they were struck by lighting. 21 in a row have not taken another step. They may kick a little when the go down but they never get back up. Sometimes I think I've missed because they go down so fast. I use a 300 gr XTP over 105 gr of ffg 777, that works best in my gun and is a real thumper on deer. Last bullet I recovered was a perfect mushroom and weighed 292 gr. You can't ask for much better than that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bullet I have been shooting this bullet for about 5 years and have killed 9 deer with it. The bullet is amazingly accurate with groups of 2 inches at 150 yards. I had great blood trails with the bullets blowing clean through the animals shoulders before. I use 150 grams of powder. I would recommend this bullet to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead right there All I have hunted with for the last 20 years. Never had a deer take another step. I always aim for the far shoulder. 105 gr of 777 and it's lights out for whitetails. Have taken deer from 12 to 176 yards. By far best bullet on the market and the cost is lower than some others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sabot for muzzleloaders Killed two bucks and a doe so far with these sabots from Hornady. All dropped in their tracks and never moved. Want smack down killing power, these are the 50 cal sabots to use. I am definitely sold on them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable I've used these bullets for years but have lost a few deer with them always thinking that it was bad shot placement. Last year shot a buck standing broadside in the shoulder from 50 yds, good news is I did find him and he only went 80 yds, bad news is that he didn't bleed a drop, actually got lucky to find him because I thought I had missed. Great expansion but doesn't get all the way through the deer. I shoot 100 grains of triple seven

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEADLY I have shot several deer at 75-125 yards with these, and most of them drop right where they are standing. (I have an old T/C Thunder Hawk) and it loves this round.

Will to much powder make the bullet rise from 50 to 100 yards?

Asked by: Anonymous
yes the more powder you have the more it will raise the best way i have done it is 4 inches at 50 yards with 100 grains of powder and 240 grain bullet and it will put you on at 100 yards

will these work in my 44.cal pistol

Asked by: Mike
No, they won't work. The bullet size is 44 cal, but the sabot/swag is designed to fit into a 50 cal muzzleloader
