Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why the bad rep??? Gun is heavy, doesn't like cheap ammo, had a lot of jams and stove pipes on cheap ammo. switched ammo no problems. gun is heavy, this helps with recoil, but will wear you out if you shoot all day. I bought mine on a whim much to the salesman's negative views on this gun. Salesman said this gun sucks, don't waste your money, its junk. Asked him if he had or shot one he said NO. Well, it is surprisingly accurate. I have very tight grouping with it. For the price you cant go wrong. Got mine on sale for under [$]. Took a chance and I am very pleased with it. It is not a Kimber, but you cant go wrong for the money. Great first gun, range gun, or truck gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy ,American Made Awesome Gun for the money, lifetime warranty, Everyone should buy one, hi point did have some issues years ago but they are turning it all around. I own a 9mm 40 cal and the 45 acp Lifetime no questions asked warranty, Made in american mansfield ohio. They are good guns on good ammo you will notice some jams with cheap ammo but they are easily cleared and you are back to shooting. If you want kimber, glock , sig arms buy those brands but you have to pay those prices up to 10 times the price of hi point

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to beat I own 4 of these guns in different cals. I hunt fish and play in the mud and they do that very well!! Having said that I do have a couple of colts and a kimber these guns aren't them but....... .45 I have in fishing boat is 5-6 years old and has never been really cleaned I spray it with wd40 and roll on it will shoot everytime I use rip shells in it works well on snakes that get too interested. Life time warranty is no joke either. Reckon I'd say very good inexpensive gun backed by a good company! Hope this helps your decision .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome gun for the price. Before you listen to all of the gun snobs that complain about Hi Points, do yourself a favor and do some research first. Most of the people who bad mouth these have never picked one up, let alone fired one. I have a 45 ACP, and I love it for the price I paid. Sure it is no Glock, or Kimber, but you are not paying near what you would for one of those either. I fire only good quality ammo out of mine, clean it up a bit after firing every time, and out of the several hundred rounds I have fired I have had no jams or failures to feed. It is not the most accurate, but it will hit the paper at the range. If you could afford better, I would recomend getting a better quality and more accurate gun for home defense. If you are on a tight budget however, like I was when I got mine, I would personaly have no problems reaching for my Hi Point if an intruder was in my house. These are also great truck guns, for those of you lucky enough to live in a state that allows you to do so. Excelent plinkers too. With a price like this it wouldn't be nearly as big of a loss if it where stolen, damaged, whatever issues you may run in to. Drawbacks of these guns are that they are very heavy. Mine weighs in at 4.3 pounds loaded with 10 rounds of Winchester 230 grain FMJ ammo. The steel slide adds alot of weight to them. This means you need to fire a pretty hot load out of it for the blowback to work properly. So, no low quality ammo. If it has a brass casing, and is a pretty hot load, you should be alright. Overall I personaly think these are great guns for the price. They are accurate enough, mine has been very reliable, and inexpensive to boot! I would definately recomend Hi Points to a friend.

I have a Glock 37 which shoots the GAP ammo. Not paying attention I bought 45 Auto ammunition. This doesn't work in my 37. So decided to buy a gun that could shoot that ammo. Does this gun use the 45 Auto ammunition?

Asked by: Tracydav
Thank you for your question. Yes, this firearm shoots .45 Auto.

what attachments are available for this model

Asked by: Anonymous
If you are wondering if it has a rail.. no. However you can add clip on attachments such as a laser or a light. My C9 9mm came with a ghost ring sight and a standard sight, my 45 didn't.

are there any hand guns made for left handed people?

Asked by: Bill
I am a left handed shooter and I just recently purchased a 45 springfield xd, it has ambidextrous magazine drop. A drop button on each side, right and left. Is that what your looking for?
