Additional Information
Fusion Rifle Ammunition consists of a specialized deer bullet that electrochemically joins pure copper to an extreme pressure-formed core to ensure optimum performance. The result is high terminal energy on impact that radiates lethal shock throughout the target. This energy is optimized through mass weight retention, a top-secret tip-skiving process, and superior bullet integrity. 20 rounds per box. Manufactured by Federal. Shipped ground only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not "Just" for thin skinned game! Three of these hogs were in the trap along side a feeder. Under the feeder was a 225 pound (weighed) boar. One shot through the shoulder angled back (unluckily) through the paunch and lodged under the skin on the off side. Kicker is... This bullet had to go through a full thickness of 3 inch thick shoulder shield, a shoulder, ribs, lungs, paunch, a back rib and lodged under the skin. Load was 308 Win 150 grain #F308FS1. Recovered slug weighed 125.8 grains. I would use this load all day long and twice on Sundays. And no, I don't work for Federal or have anything to lose / gain by adding this note. Facts is Facts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and stupid accurate After shooting these rounds, they are almost exclusively what I shoot. Ballistics don't seem accurate with these rounds as I have confirmed that a .243 with my Tikka T3 Lite is still climbing at 200 yards. I am shooting .5 MOA at 200 yards and wind up to 8 mph seems to have little affect. Highly recommend them... the only downfall is that they seem to cut through deer with little knock-down power. I shot my deer this year at 264 yards and went straight through. My oldest son shot his deer at 515 yards with 130 grain .270 and still went through and through. Enough damage to track successful shots, but the respond like hot knives through butter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly accurate, can hunt and reasonable price I purchased the .243 Fusion as a starting point for my son's new Tikka T3x Laminated Stainless / his first real rifle. I thought that we could sight it in, and then try a box of more expensive ammo to estimate accuracy. I had seen some posts about Fusion being accurate in Tikkas. Well, we did not try the other ammo. My son (17) shot a several sub-MOA groups at 100 yards, and one group was under one-half inch. This was my son's first time shooting this rifle, and it was his first time shooting a center fire rifle. The limited shooting I did to finish zeroing the scope yielded half inch groups. We found our go to ammo for hunting (95 grain) and target (1/2 inch groups) on our first try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accuracy and very lethal Outstanding ammo. I have shot 2 antelope, scoring 79 7/8 inches and 83 inches Boone and Crockett, dropped both of them in their tracks. Also killed 5 deer with them so far, all dropped within 50 yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from accuracy + I had lots of trouble getting good groups with 100 grain Winchesters. Then I tried the Fusion and had a very tight group of three. Closed the case and went home. Next day I set up a target again at 57 yards and put two 95 grain fusion thru the same hole. I was shocked. Have not shot any animals with it yet but am considering trying it this fall on a doe. I'd like to hear from those of you out there that have shot deer with 243 to see if you think this round has enough killing power to do the job quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Accuracy: Field Performance Impressive grouping on the range is one thing. Stopping power on game is where it really matters. My daughter did very well with Fusion ammo on the range. What happened on last weeks youth hunt was equally impressive. She dropped two whitetails in nine minutes using 95gr Fusion in .243. The first was a 60 yard shot on a buck; dropped him instantly. The second was a 75 yard shot on a doe that managed 20 yards before dropping. The freezer is full! Thank You Federal!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stopping power on Whitetails Great accuracy was shooting about 1 1/2 groups at the range. Took it out hunting for the first time in South Texas killed two bucks. First buck shot broadside 75yds through the shoulder dropped in it's tracks no exit hole but left a golf ball size hole through both sets of ribs very impressive. Second buck shot through front shoulder angling back 75 yds bullet was found under the skin in front of opposite back leg about over 2ft of penetration couldn't believe it deer ran about 30yds and piled up. recovered bullet weight 68grs great expansion and good weight retention. Here is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. No blood absolutely zero drops of blood on the ground from both deer small entry wound as expected from a .243 both deer's body cavities full of blood but none on the ground I suspect from having no exit wound. I was lucky the one that ran expired on the side of the trail or I may not have found it. That being said great bullets definitely effective but if you have to trail a wounded animal it may be very difficult. Great Job Federal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Ammo I purchased a Mossberg Patriot rifle in 243 Win. and this is the ONLY ammo it would shoot accurately. I tried 7 different types/brands of ammo and the best I could get out of the rifle was around 2" groups @ 100 yds. The Federal Fusion will consistently shoot 3/4" groups out of my Patriot all day long if I do my part. I took 2 8 pts. from the same stand on 2 different days at a lasered 290 yds. Both shots were broadside at calm animals. One shot kills and achieved complete penetration on both deer. The wound channel was impressive. Both bucks traveled about 20 yds. and was done. This is the best factory ammo for the 243Win. if your rifle will shoot it. As a side bar I never found a hand load that would shoot in this rifle either. With the performance I got with the Fusion I'll never reload for this rifle or waste anymore time and money trying to find a reload that it will shoot. I ran this ammo through a chronograph and averaged right at 2800 to 2825 fps. in a 22" barrel.
