Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used for Jetski PWC These are great when loading boat in dirty lakes and at night when you cannot easily see your trailer. Add the light kit to improve visibility and to keep lights out of water, especially salt water. These offer a greater ease in backing an empty trailer. The flexibility of guides offer forgiveness if you accidentally run your boat into them. They are very strong and durable. If you load in a current or in the wind these will help immensly. Highly recommended for smaller boats or personal watercraft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Guides ! Arrived quickly after ordering from Overton's and was easy to install. I was particularly impressed with the heavy-gauge aluminum used to fabricate the bracket - will never bend, and will never rust! Will keep your boat trailer looking good for years. My goal for purchase was to enable me to quickly and easily reload the boat solo, and these sturdy Overton's guides fit the task perfectly. Very pleased with the quality of the product and the price paid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fulton Boat Guides - PVC no metal Description should have included that they were all PVC, no metal insert for strength. One windy day attempt to load a boat could take one of these things out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boat Guides The guides go on easily and offer a much need way of lining up the boat. Quality is very good and they should hold up well for years to come.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK, but has a lot of give ... not firm I bought 2 sets of these for my boat lift. I needed one with U-bolts long enough for a 5" beam, and this is the only model I could find that would suffice. Other guides have a metal pipe for the first 20 inches, this one does not. Therefore the guide just gives way when the boat contacts it. I would prefer more firm guidance. If I had to do it over again, I would get one with the metal core and just buy the longer U-bolts I needed separately.I also bought foam guide pads to go over the guides. When the boat contacts the foam pads, the pads work their way up the pole. This pushed the vinyl caps off the end of the pole, and they promptly sunk to the bottom of the lake, never to be found again. [...] does not sell the replacement parts and neither will the manufacturer. So, make sure to secure the vinyl caps by screwing them into the PVC.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did not go on exactly as instructed Instructions say to attach poles so that they are touching the boat's side rails. I have a smaller boat (18' sea ray). Could not put poles touching boat because of to two reasons. I had to cut the poles at a 45 (under the boat) so that it would not touch the boat, or stratch while loading. Second if I put the poles touching the boat while on trailer then the "U" bolts were located on the curve part of poles, which made poles very unstable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy install and serves the purpose Fulton guides are easy to install and serve the purpose well of providing a target for guiding the boat on the trailer. They can be enhanced to prevent scratching of the hull by adding covers to the pvc tubes. The installation kit comes with two screws to hold the caps on the top of the tubes. I did NOT bother and have since had both tube caps blow off and get lost due to my own laziness. I suggest you use all parts provided!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok inexpensive guides for smaller boats Easy to install boat guides that do assist in getting your boat centered up on the trailer. Particularly useful for people with finicky roller trailers like me. Bunk trailers tend to be much more self centering. I backed the trailer into the boat a little and this managed to bend the guide out of position (twisted inside the ill-fitting clamping bracket). I was able to twist it back, but it spoke to the quality. You can't tighten it too much or you will just squash the PVC. The clamping mechanism consists of a square cap that fits over an oval PVC pipe. I think they could have cast their own part that really fit the PVC rather than just hack off a piece of u-channel. The ones I was sent were also clearly pre-used and probably returned. They were scuffed up and you could see where they had been clamped down. Summary: They will probably help you load just fine, just don't expect too much.

Someone removed the top caps on my guide posts. What is the size of the PVC pipe and are there replacement caps available somewhere?

Asked by: MAK Daddy
I would measure them with a tape measure and then Lowe's hardware or plumbing store should have PVC products and should have a cap that will work.
