Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hardware, software can be improved The BREACH performs really well, it's awesome with 60Hz refresh rate. The main drawbacks is that there hasn't been any firmware updates for the last 2 years, and there's functionality missing (such as adding support for symbology - the hardware supports this but has been disabled). The UI is a bit slow reacting to rotation changes, and there's a few cases where the UI stops working. I have reached out to FLIR about this but it appears that there's no plans to fix it. Also, the refresh rate of the inclinometer is slow, the battery indicator is not accurate. Overall it's a great product, but the above issues can and should be updated/fixed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from COMPACT, TRANSITION's Are Good, More testing As an owner of 4 other units, this is definitely the most compact. I cannot say I am 100% satisfied with the what comes in the case, seems like if they would have at least added a cheap dovetail helmet or head strap, would make it easier for 4 or 5 stars. Using it for the next five night's, so have plenty of batteries, but also have an external power supply. Will update once I have more hours on the unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somethings changed. I had a Breach a while ago and loved it, small compact, rugged and does exactly what its designed too do. I unfortunately had to sell this though. I found myself in a position to be able to buy another and got it today. Unfortunately though I am not as impressed as I was originally. A few things have changed and not for the better. I have a couple of the Flir Swing arm #172 and the original Breach fitted perfectly on this as well as my MNVD, the new one is 0.5mm smaller in size which is causing excessive wobble when mounted on a helmet. Which is unacceptable in my opinion. I have also noticed the the nice rugged tethered USB-C port cover has been replaced with a cheap little insert that would be easily lost on the field. I still love it, just a little disappointed for the reasons stated above.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful purpose built unit. I wear my breach on a bridge next to a pvs 14 when i hunt coyotes and hogs. Its an indispensable piece of equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool I have other Flir products. As a rule I am not happy with the refresh rate. This unit how ever seems to have a much better refresh. Its small and is easy to handle. I have not tried it on my helmet yet. I did not receive the adapter to use it on the helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Form Factor As a County Sheriff Search and Rescue (SAR) team member who has to balance weight and packability tradeoff decisions, the PTQ-136's compact form factor make taking this in the field a no brainer (it easily stows into a pocket on my radio harness for rapid deployment). Offering the Breach as an option with the Boson 640x512 would further elevate a great product to an indispensable mission essential tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent piece of kit! Small, light and perfect for spotting hogs! I have spottet ducks out to aprox. 100m with my breach. I do miss the possibility for a remote on/off switch and compatibility with the boson app.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but developable I'm a hunter and we own several thermal imaging devices including a PTQ136. I really like that it's so lightweight as well as helmet mountable, but I have several points that could be improved (maybe with a newer version?), and I would definitely buy that: * First and foremost I would like a higher sensor resolution (maybe 640x...?) * Add a backed real-time clock (I operate my PTQ136 from a powerbank and the date and time gets always reset which then gets annoying fast when you have several videos on the device from different days. * Add audio to the videos, which would be a great help for hints or when there was a shot etc. Oh, and please check the alignment of the sensor! At least for my device I need to set my Left Margin to -25 and my Top Margin to 50 to align it correctly, which eats quite a bit of my view! Or is my PTQ136 maybe just broken?
