Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable, Versatile, and Durable We have owned and used this grill for over 10 years- purchased in early 2005. We used it for several years as our primary grill in our travel trailer - cooking almost every meal daily while on the road 40-50 days a year. We also used as our primary home grill while moving and the patio grill is in transit between homes. Finally, we have used this grill for countless camping trips with BSA and AHG. We have the storage bag, 20lb adapter hose, stove coils, second grill, and second griddle. The epitome of versatile. I have never had to do anything other than regular cleaning and basic maintenance. I recommend to everyone that goes camping with us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Grill I have had this grill since 2002. When we camp I cook 2 meals a day and we camp 8 to 10 weeks a year. So as you can see the grill gets a lot of use. I enjoy cooking on this grill very much. The only down side is finding the griddle replacements. 10 years ago it was easy to find the aluminum OE replacements, but this year it was impossible. The only griddle that is offered now is cast iron. These cast iron replacements are junk. They're heavy and all your food sticks to them despite numerous prep methods used. This looks like a ploy by Coleman to force you to buy a new grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from versatile and dependable - chef's pick!! i'm a professional chef who loves to camp and tailgate. i bought this grill nearly 20 years ago and have used it for every tailgate season and camping trip, since. the adapter plates give you an entire kitchen - you can broil, boil, bake and fry with this baby. i wouldn't camp without one!! it's super transportable and sets up in seconds. do yourself a favor and get the adapter plates (griddle + burner ring), plus the hook-up hose for a 20lb propane tank. i own a lot of propane cooking equipment, but this is the one i reach for more often than any other. it made a lot of my old gear obsolete. i'd love to have one with higher btu burners and a far more durable wheeled carrying bag (mine ripped year one), but this "grill" is an absolute classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting and works great! I got this grill many years ago for camping and it works great! Love the changeable plates. I have two of each, grill, griddle, and stove! Even after a grease fire, rain storms, and freak wind storm it is still going strong! The one igniter did finally quit but the other one is still working great. This guy has out lasted any of my big expensive grills I have bought for at home even though I use it way more! I just replaced my home grill with the RoadTrip LXE and am not sorry I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Very affordable and easy to use! Just wish griddle and grill were made of Stainless Steel. Do not like ANYTHING with non-stick coatings!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again Bought this grill about a month ago, but had not had an opportunity to use it until today. Control knobs are locked. Managed to turn one of two, but it required a ridiculous amount of effort. Online search indicates that this is a common problem. Suggestions range from "try harder" to taking unit apart to get to back of control panel to correct issue. As a senior citizen, I purchased this for ease of use to replace the old, oversize grill that I no longer need. Very disappointed. Will not purchase another Coleman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most versatile grill I have ever used. This is the most versatile grill I have ever used. Here is what I like: The grill stand isn’t required to use the grill making it smaller and lighter to transport, and it works well on a picnic table or tailgate. You can use small gas cylinders or a 20lb propane tank. You can use any combination of griddle, grill, and stove-top you want, and cast iron versions are available. I made my own one piece stainless steel griddle that covers the whole top. The grill cooks well and is easy to control, but it does cook fast, I believe that is due to the low profile cover, there isn’t a lot of area to heat under the grill cover. Cons: I think drippings could be dealt with better. My biggest complaint with the grill is the cover, the slits in the cover allow rain water into the grill. They should have louvers in the cover instead of slits to keep the water out. It’s a PAIN to clean out if it fills with water, and you can’t throw a tarp over it if it’s hot. Plan on cooking under a canopy if it’s raining.
