Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lotta gun for the money. First off thanks to Rey and other staff members for a great Experience. (San Antonio Texas- Hwy151@Loop410) Great Gun. I Great accuracy offhand (strong and weak arm) with cheap ammo (monarch ammo $8 per 20, 145gr, metal case, lacquered) . I killed a grapefruit at 100 yards, off hand using factory iron sites. I mounted a red dot easily using the existing rail, but I will invest in some better glass and a bi-pod. I wanted one after seeing it on "lethal weapon" but couldn't afford anything close to this. Magazines are inexpensive.!!! No FTF. No Stovepipes. No FTE. I love this rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful but gentle battle rifle VERY briefly, this G3/CETME clone is a joy to shoot and VERY accurate. For a .308, it is surprisingly gentle on the shoulder. I read some reviews about how manly you have to be to operate it, and it's just not that tough. The long picatinny rail makes mounting an optic a snap (note the the front sight assembly is fixed. My cheap red-dot's aimpoint is JUST over the top). The one area of difficulty is, MAN the bolt group is a beast to maintain! Stymied, I watched a video and the guy was using channel-lock pliers on it. My solution is, full disassembly only periodically! BASIC disassembly/reassembly is super easy, though. Just don't let the bolt head collapse onto the carrier, unless you're ready for a fight. Overall, a super battle rifle and a great value. Ammo is cheap, magazines go for a song. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellently accurate rifle. I bought this rifle about 3 weeks ago. I've been to the range twice. Once with open sights and then the other time with a scope affixed on it. On the first 25 rounds through, only one jammed in the 20 round mag. On the 2nd time at the range, no jams and with the scope zeroed, all 20 in the 3 in bullseye using the scope at 50 yds. Excellent rifle. Medium kick and man does it fling the cartridges out of the breach. Love it. If it wasn't so heavy (just under 9lbs), I'd rate it a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this rifle, just run good ammo. This thing eats everything but the cheap steel stuff. Very accurate and lots of improvement on the older cetmes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gun I bought this a week ago and so glad I did. The charging handle is tight but seems to be getting better with more rounds threw it. Tons of cheap upgrades if you look around the the internet. Cheaper than dirt has 20 rd mags for $2.95 each. (Used HK G3). This gun has had no malfunctions so far. I ran around 300 rounds out of it. Will eat any ammo even the cheap steel stuff. Thanks Garry at Gander Mountain McDonough GA for all of your help!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rifle Bought this rifle based on reviews and glad I did! Fit and finnish are excellent looks like a new build rifle not surplus, the surplus parts look and fit like new old stock not like old used worn out parts. Put a 4 x 25 scope and took it to the range and had it zeroed in 10 rounds and was able to shoot 1 moa groups.

Can some one from out of state go to one of your store, do an over the counter sales as long as a back ground check is passed? As live in Colorado, law was written we can own the larger capacity magazines, just that they can not be sold wit h in the state

Asked by: Thumper9669
You do not have to be a resident of the state as long as its a rifle, however if its a handgun then yes that is correct you must be a resident of the state of purchase. What your asking is illegal and is what is called a straw purchase.

whats the maximum effective range ?

Asked by: jimmyg48
The cartidge has a range of 1000+ yards. But effective range of this particular rifle is only about 200 yards. Accuracy is greatly reduced at 200+ yards.

Would this a good deer hunting rifle?

Asked by: marr
Its not the best action for Hunting. The delayed roller system is more for close quarters gum battles, but it is pretty accurate up to about 100 yards. But if your looking for a 308 semiauto rifle for hunting with good accuracy out to 500 yards youll want a DPMS 308 or similar with a locking bolt group.

Can you put a bipod on this rifle?

Asked by: cnr62
They make bipods for the g3 and its variants or you can buy a handgrip with an under barrel picatanny mount or fashion a picatanny rail to it your self with some drilling your call on the risk though for doing it yourself
