Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overton'sProduct Handling The Poles came in no problem. The problem is my 4-Bow Bimini Top that I ordered from Overton's on 4 June, that is now approaching day 20 and no delivery and no word from the Vendor. I have called and called Overton's regarding this issue and all I get are apologies and excuses that it's the manufacturers fault, etc. Recommend that Overton's switch vendors that makes the Bimini tops so that Overton's can stand behind their marketed 7-10 day delivery. Without knowing what company makes these for Overtons and not being able to contact them as a consumer I hold Overtons accountable for not delivering their product as advertised and is clearly not the customer service that is expected and Overtons is known for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings.. Not sure if it was worth the [$]. The plastic wingnuts stripped upon 1st tightening. I will be replacing them with straight pins after I drill holes through the alum tubing in the 2 spots that I would like the top to sit at, in both the deployed position, and also trailering position. Still a better option than the alternative (fixed support poles), but definitely felt this could've been a better product for the money, and would expect to perform NO modifications or hassles- especially for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sometimes a top needs some support Positive: Looks great with aluminum ShadeMate top frame; same aluminum tubing so it itegrates together nicely and looks like it came with the bimini top. Keeps the top nicely supported off the gunwale. Easy to install and adjust. Negative: The biggest negative is the plastic "hardware." The set screws that hold the adjustable length are plastic and strip out easily. I didn't pay attention to the plastic and stipped the threads the first time I set the length.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Acceptable, but not perfect I had to make a vertical cut in the part that attaches to the bimini so I could spread it enough to fit onto the bimini frame post. The screw attaching the adjusable pole then holds that cut closed. There was no other way to attach to my bimini except to disassemble the bimini. Also, it would have helped if they had included a 3mm hex wrench. I had to run to the hardware to pick one up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised and easy to install I have a C-Dory 16 Cruiser. Before I purchased this product the Bimini top, when down, was behind the engine requiring it to be put up before launching and leaving it up during recovery. This made entering or exiting the boat difficult due the forward straps. It also makes the boat look better when the top is down. It has really added a big plus to our boating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother Not sure if it was a design defect or not, but the ends could NOT be attached to the bimini top frame without completely taking the frame apart (which was impossible as the frame comes riveted right from the factory). Needless to say I sent them back and bought the 48" poles that didn't need to be cut for my application (and saved $20 in the process).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend. Did not last 1 day. Installed that morning, got to lake and began to adjust them up only to find that the bolt would not loosen. The plastic knob just turns on the head of the screw it is molded to. This product is absolutely useless on my boat now. I will be taking off soon. Would like to return but not sure the hassle is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have pruchased 2 sets of these The Adjustable Bimimi Support Poles give our top great support when the top is up, and we don't have to mess with straps on the back of the top. When the top is folded the poles keep the top in an upright position so we can we can walk under it to move around.

Do these attach with some kind of quick release Pin to the bimini? I ask this because I would want the top laying completely down when I travel ,because I use a boat Cover when trailering. Thanks

Asked by: Jake
Yes they are easily released if you need to lay the top down.

Are these available in Stainless Steel?

Asked by: SaltWater Boater
Yes, they are, you can order them online. They came in really fast. Don't, don't order a top from them though. Going on day 20 and no Bimini Top, only excuses why it's not here and no word from the manufacturer. Only order parts that Overtons have in their warehouse, then you'll get it on time.

Can this product be used when boat is in tow.

Asked by: Anonymous
You can use these anytime whether the boat is going fast or slow, but what you need to worry about is if the bimini top is open you should be driving under 18mph. If the bimini top is closed then it is fine to drive however fast you want. Just be careful if the bimini top is open because you do run a risk of it taking on Mary Poppins abilities and flying off of your boat.

Will this work on pontoon boat.

Asked by: Berl
You would not be able to use this support pole with a pontoon bimini top because pontoon bimini tops have square frames and this is made for round frames that are usually used on runabout boats. You should consider one of the following items for pontoon bimini tops: 74985, 76724, or 73324. Those items are sold individually.
