Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good design, bad quality. I bought this product because I saw it to be rugged and it was made in the USA. Well, rugged it's not, you can't go through a clip of staples without it jamming up several times (staples used Power Shot Heavy Duty Staples item #97006). In the last jam up (4th staple clip) I heard a loud snap from inside the stapler and the handle lost it's tension to reload, being it was useless, I took it apart only to find that a plastic part fell out in two pieces when I separated the two halves. The inside looks raw and unfinished like the stuff you get from China with a Made in USA label. Don't waste your hard earned money on this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jammed, frustrated The staples jammed. I watched the youtube video by Arrow Fastener about removing jammed staples. Went to take out the screw, the washer bolt came right off, but the screw wouldn't come out. It seems it was off kilter and stuck in there. No matter how much we tried, the screw just went round and round (on the youtube video, it fell right out-nice!) Then my husband took it all apart and followed the instructions to put it back together by larry averit on youtube, but since it was off kilter, it never went back together correctly. Very frustrating! I got this because I couldn't use my old staple gun after a wrist injury. It was good until the jam.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought this one to replace my ~20 years old worn out Stanley staple gun and what a mistake that I have made. First of all, I had to buy a brand new set of T50 staples and worst of all, the staple gun simply doesn't work. When I pressed down the handle, nothing come out and it appears that the staple piston is stuck at the all the way down position and never retracted back to the top. So now I am stuck with a bunch of T50 staples with a useless staple gun. What a nightmare and a big disappointment. Who would have thought that you would get a dud on a staple gun? I wouldn't recommend this product to any of my friends and my family.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Continues to jam [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have returned two of these to the store because the staples get jammed in the end after only 20 - 30 uses. I could not believe that the stapler was the problem so I tried different staples and returned the previous two staplers thinking that eventually I would get one that works. The lever on top makes it easier to shoot a staple while reaching off of a ladder at 16 feet up, kudos to the designers that got that right! It also has the right amount of aerodynamic qualities to make the throw from a second story eve 20 yards to a dumpster - which is where the third stapler ended up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work Concept is great. Problem is, it just doesn't work. Trying to put fiberglass screen material on a new porch and it just quit putting staples through the gun. Open it up and there wasn't anything blocking or clogging, just wouldn't shoot staples through the gun. Finally went and bought another one and it works everytime. This model is absolutely a waste of time and money. Used T-50 staples just like you ask and it just doesn't work. Had another one just like it and it did the same thing. I thought it was something I had done, so threw it away and bought this one. Does the same thing. Just doesn't send staples out when you push down the handle. Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart in my hands on first use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened the package, and I consulted the very limited drawn manual to see how to load staples. Found it less than complete. Opened the slide to insert staples. Closed the slide. Shot one staple. It sounded like it was working, but no staple. Opened the slide again. Parts fell out, spring sprung out, very surprising. Could not figure out where all the parts came from. I even watched youtube vids to see if I could tell what parts where from where. Took it back and got another brand. It felt nice in my hands when I bought it. Yes, I did use staples specified for this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tackle more projects with less effort I have used the standard stapler for 30 years with no complaints, but after using this one I wish I'd had this one years ago. After adjusting to the slight difference in where pressure is applied and feel, it was a joy to use. My old stapler left my hand aching after a large project and took most of my hand strength to staple. I may have weaker than usual hands. I limited my staple gun projects due to the exertion required to use the old staple gun, and the effect that had on the precision of my staple placement. This new one is a dream. I don't jerk back after triggering the staple, and after many repetitions my hand doesn't shake straining to depress the trigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have owned several staple guns over the years and this has been the most dependable. I purchased the PowerShot 5700M to reupholster several chairs and stools at our shack. We have no electricity and I was really concerned about getting another manual staple gun. I have had other Arrow staplers as well as Stanley and Bostitch over the past 40 years, both manual and electric. I am taking a break right now to let you know how thrilled I am with this PowerShot! I don't usually write reviews, but here it is. I may think differently if I run into some really hard wood, but I'm working on hickory and oak. This is by far the best staple gun, manual or electric, that I have ever used. Only the pneumatic one has more power and it's just not practical for most of my work.
